Founder and Dutchman Merijn Jaegers who is now based in the town of Benissa, Spain describes his furniture to be used "at the best moments of the day. When you cook a good meal and you enjoy at the table or you sit back and relax outside in your chair with a cold evening beer"
WORDS AND CONTENT BY WORKHOUSE COLLECTIVE
Viva Madera uses recycled wood for the manufacture of their furniture. The majority of this wood comes from planks that have been previously used in the construction sector, which after a period of 2-3 years have to be replaced. Their company acquires those boards and recycles them to make furniture. The planks come with standard sizes, and can be used both outside or inside, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere to any space. This used and recycled wood has character and soul. Combined with simple designs, it leads them to create exclusive, unique and sustainable furniture. The wood begins its second life, Viva Madera!
